生日礼物

一位顾客正在一家百货公司购物。他走到一名女营业员面前，问道：“小姐，我想给我弟弟买一份生日礼物。可他什么都不缺。买什么送给他比较合适呢？你有什么好的提议吗？”

"It's all right," said a gentleman, "don't be afraid. Don't you know the proverb: Barking dogs don't bite?"
"Ah, yes," answered the little boy. "I know the proverb, but does the dog know the proverb, too?"
